New Hope Methodist in Brandon, Florida is situated just outside the bustling city of Tampa, a warm, sunny suburb that is home to a diverse community of residents. In the last 10 years, New Hope Methodist has found new followers amongst the community, and has begun to spread its services and message to a wider audience with three unique campuses. Tim Ashcraft is the Facility Manager at New Hope, managing 12 separate buildings over three distinct locations.

As one might imagine, managing a dozen separate buildings’ HVAC systems in three geographically disparate locations took Tim quite a bit of time in the past.

“The way it worked before, each day the guys would go to each building, set the thermostat for whatever event was going on. When the event was over, they would  go back and adjust. This went on several times throughout the day. It took a lot of manpower. I mean, in the morning when the guy got here, it took him at least half hour to 45 minutes at each building to set the ACs and get everything ready to go. It was really time consuming.”

Since New Hope Methodist implemented the Sensi Multiple Thermostat Manager system, they have been able to realize savings in time, energy, and dollars spent on their utility bills.

“Sensi Multiple Thermostat Manager has helped us tremendously. It's like a 10 to 15 minute process each day to set up the buildings and prepare them for office use, meetings, worship. It’s all done right from this office…I don't have to send anybody out in the field. We probably save six to eight hours a week in manpower.”

Plus, with Sensi Manager’s software-as-a-service pricing, New Hope is able to monitor ALL of their wifi thermostats in one single screen without paying the exorbitant up-front costs typically seen with Building Management Systems. “As far as the program goes for the Multi Thermostat Manager, we pay $10 per thermostat yearly to manage our program. And currently we have 21 thermostats and use $210 a year. You can't beat that cost.”

“I would think for any church or even in a home...it's just fantastic being able to sit here, do everything in 10 minutes. You're done for the day.”
